Our inclusive theatre company has been delivering weekly workshops for adult performers for just over 7 years. With workshops that offer transferable skills in mime, puppetry, masks and musical theatre.
We perform devised and scripted performances at least twice a year to live audiences.
Classes are held every Tuesday term time at Fratton Community Centre 3.30-5.30 and £10 per week.
This year we have planned performances at: The Moving Forward Event at PFC and Comic Con on May 4th

In 2018, Red Sauce Theatre was awarded funding to develop a performance piece inspired by the D-Day Letters, created especially for the D-Day 75 commemorations. The production was featured at the Volunteer Awards at Portsmouth Football Ground—an event that honoured local heroes, including D-Day veteran John Jenkins—and was showcased as part of Portsmouth Festivities.
The performance received a standing ovation at the New Theatre Royal in Portsmouth and was later taken aboard HMS Boudicca, where Red Sauce Theatre had the honour of entertaining World War II veterans during the official D-Day 75 celebrations.
In 2015, Red Sauce partnered with the University of Portsmouth and the Alzheimer’s Society on a groundbreaking Creative Arts project. As drama lead and a driving force behind the research, Rachel helped demonstrate the powerful impact of the arts on the wellbeing of people living with dementia and their carers.
The project included a series of musical theatre workshops attended by participants from all three organisations, culminating in a live performance that surprised and moved a large audience with its quality and emotional depth.
That same year, the project received a £10,000 grant from Arts Award in recognition of its innovative work in Dementia and the Arts. It also earned an international nomination, thanks to its wide-reaching impact—including the delivery of films, training sessions, drama workshops, and creative booklets. The team worked with 10 care homes, 20 community groups, and ran wellbeing sessions for carers at The Kings Theatre in Southsea.
